For asset owners
If you own an operating or established solar asset in our target region, we welcome a conversation about a potential acquisition or partnership.
Lakeshore Solar Partners
Lakeshore Solar Partners is the solar investment platform of Lakeshore Holdings, a Chicago-based private equity firm. We acquire and own solar assets across the Upper Midwest with a focus on disciplined underwriting, durable cash flows and long-term value.
The thesis
Electricity is becoming a strategic real asset — and solar is a practical way to participate in that growth.
Lakeshore Solar Partners was formed as the solar investment platform of Lakeshore Holdings, a Chicago-based private equity firm, applying institutional sourcing, underwriting and capital discipline to sustainable power.
Our focus is deliberately regional: Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. We are interested in conversations with owners of existing solar fields as well as capital partners looking for experienced stewardship of energy assets.

Lakeshore is building a focused solar platform within a Chicago-based private equity firm, centered on productive real assets, disciplined ownership and long-term value.
Case study · Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Skypark is a 1 MW solar facility on 7.5 acres of the City of Eau Claire's former landfill. It is the clearest expression of where Lakeshore is headed: acquire real infrastructure, improve it thoughtfully, and create durable cash flow from an essential service.
Who we want to hear from
Lakeshore is intentionally building relationships on both sides of the energy asset: solar asset owners seeking a sophisticated, long-term buyer and capital partners seeking direct participation in real asset ownership.
Owners & developers
For developers and owners, Lakeshore offers experienced capital, disciplined execution and a long-term ownership perspective. We understand the importance of certainty, responsiveness and a transaction structure that works for all parties.
Capital partners
Connect with Lakeshore to learn more about the firm’s solar strategy, current activity and opportunities for direct participation in real asset ownership as the platform grows.
The transition
“Decades of institutional real estate investment experience—including long-term lease agreements, cash flow projections, market underwriting, debt financing, and credit analysis—inform Lakeshore’s disciplined approach to solar investments.”Jeff Johnson · Founder & Managing Partner
